2003 Tacoma. As soon as you turn the key forward this starts to squeak intermittenly. I had to pull the glovebox to get to it so curious what it is so I can order another one or is a symptom of another issue?

    Thanks!

Blower motor or blend door actuator. I think the latter but it shouldnt squeak, but the blower motor will chirp.

It looks like the blower motor is over to the right of this. Plus the squeal/chirp is the same no matter what the blower speed is.

Is this something that controls the flapper for either cold/heat? I can see the white sweeper/control arm that's why I ask.

My 01 Tacoma has been doing this for a while. The sound seems to be getting louder. I took it out yesterday and tried to bend the contacts up like I have read elsewhere. That was not the problem. The gears inside look fine. I wonder if it's the door itself that is somewhat stuck and causing the motor and arm to work too hard? When I put it back in, I messed something up and the AC blew out heat. I know the arm moved when I installed it.

Anyhow, wondering if anyone has replaced one, knows the part number or any thoughts on the door being the culprit?

Blend door actuator fixed it! Easy install and was around 130$ online.

Thanks! I'll go ahead and order a new one. The noise is quite annoying.

I know this thread is old but how do I remove the blend door actuator? I can't find a video online for removal.
