I got it installed. And pretty much have no gears but 3rd and 4th.
I have to loosen the bolts and really force it to get anything else going.
I am not talking about just reverse. All gears (but 3/4) are a major PITA-definitely not road safe.

    Any suggestions?

Edit: Took it for a spin, as I was the only one on the road at this hour.
shifting into 1st is hard, shifting into 2nd is hard, unless shifting from 1st (downshifting). Shifting into R is hard (expected). All three positions pretty much require a "slap" to get to them.
Shifting in 5,6 is mostly OK

Took it for a 75 trip (mostly highway).
Doesn't seem to be breaking in. Not having easy ability to downshift to 2 is painful.
Getting into 5 is difficult too.
Sadly, haven't heard anything back from URD either.
Probably will take it out when I get home. Not sure how returnable it is.

my TRD shortshift (dealer installed) was surprisingly stiff at first.

I had to slap it around a bit too

now the old girl has loosened up. its surprising how much its loosened...unless i just got tougher on the right arm! :p

    big-ass weighted knob helps too.

Called "Customer Support" today (as I haven't seen any response to my email in a week).

The guy mumbled something like "we sell thousands of these, it's something wrong with your transmission". They he asked me to call technical support. Not sure how helpful that would be, but left a message with them.

Well. Jolly News. Technical support was a lot less arrogant (I would usually expect it to be the other way around). He suggested I haven't had the ball tight enough to the original ball. So I disassembled and unscrewed the ball, whacked it lightly a few times with a mallet, but it back together and now I can shift w/o much effort.

Now all I have to do is figure out how to lower the silly clutch pedal. I read somewhere on this form about gluing a coin. I am not sure one coin or even 3 will be enough, will think on how to do a spacer there though. There seems to be a sensor there too.

As far as TRD shifter.. I needed to save some $. And I didn't find it that enjoyable when I took a TX|Pro with that option installed for a spin.
