Dude that truck with the 5.7 is FAST!!! I mean FAST as shit!! Go smoke a hemi or a new Chebby (at the track of course)

All the new tundies are insanely fast...that is what I want and the increased payload, trailer capacity, handling with load etc all have its benefits. But oh shit, oil over $81 a barrel today, only a matter of time till we're grabbing our ankles filling up our trucks.

True that. I am getting right at 19 with a mix of about 75 hwy and 25% city. I think that is better than some of the v6 tacomas on here.:)

Congratulations on the new truck! I get 16-17.5 with my V6, so yes, you win. But then, I'm young and drive too fast.

By the way, I laughed when you owned Tidrow by pointing out that you are a real trucker. At the same time, he's right... you have no excuse for calling a pickup a truck. At least the rest of us can claim ignorance or lack of experience with more than 6 wheels. :D

Wow that's it? If I'm pulling 75/25 hwy/city I can pull over 19... in some cases over 20 without even trying... :/

Most of mine is city driving though... so I usually get around 16.8-17.5

Edit: NM I forgot it was with the Tundra heh, still...

Well if we want to get technical it is not a truck either. It is called a tractor trailer. What we drive is called a pickup truck. The Federal Dept. of transportation aka the "DOT". Considers the 18 wheeler rigs to be tractor trailers. Just giving you a hard time.:D

I had to do it again. I can no longer use my saying real trucks have two doors. I went to the double cab last year. I can now take the whole family camping in one vehicle. Kids are getting bigger and gas is costing to much. I am still getting 19-20mpg with it so it's all good. 7u2yqybe_a3405f30fdb7266e41bdcca93c9a06821acd8170.jpg

Can't lie. My very first car was a V8. The SUV I had before my new Taco was a V8. 15mpg. But damn I loved the power.

Never could get the hang of the 6. Just doesn't feel right to me.
