Just bought a new 2013 Tacoma. The engine revs when I shut off the ignition. Anyone else experience this or know what is causing it? Is it a problem? Of course i didn't notice it until I got it home since I was always in the car during test drives and didn't hear it. The Toyota dealer said it was because the engine is working so well. Again, i bought it brand new off the lot from Expressway Toyota.

You maybe mistaking the air pump shutdown burp for a engine flair. I doubt that you have a problem.

Unless you're giving it gas accidentally before shutting it off, I doubt there's an issue. If like to see a video.

You're hearing the smog pump when you shut your truck off. Mine does the same thing.

One of the salesmen at a dealer I went to, tried to convince me that the 6" lift bro comes with ironcross bolt ons, was an upgrade from my tacoma. Apparently it was even "done up to the 9's" whatever that means.

Traded the 2015 TRD Pro 6spd Supercharged on a PowerWagon and could not be happier. My 2011 Tacoma with the TX Baja package (Added by me) is still treating me great. My 1985 Toyota never skips a beat.
    thats what mine does :)

I wonder how long its going to last before it needs some fixing

I once had one try to tell me ALL about the "BIG" v6 that was an option over the "small" v6 in the 2007 Tacoma i looked at.. supposed to be a rare option.

Needles to say i did not buy it from that dealer.
