Welp I have a shutter or shake in the truck not in the steering wheel so it's something in the rear, feels like the back end shakes upon acceleration not like ur grandmas acceleration under harder type. Since I'm new to having a taco is this common? I searched the threads and doesn't seem that I could find another thread like this.. I was drinking so if I over looked it and duplicate my apologies. I thought it was the LSD just maintaining not let me spin out but I'm not accelerating THAT hard for it to be worried about spinning. Possible drive line? I have the dealership tomorrow for my 5k service going to ask them to look into it, also switching over to synthetic Mobil 1. Want this bad boy to last me the next 15 years.

Mine shudders a bit under harder acceleration from a stand still. I have about 2k miles on it now. I've read others have it also. This truck is an auto. The 6 speed tacoma I had before this one did not shudder.

Mine does too. Doesn't seem like a big deal, feels like the traction control kicking in. Maybe limiting power based on acceleration for what ever reason. Maybe I'll try turning off VSC/TRAC and see what happens. Stay tuned....

Sounds like driveline vibrations, although usually those are generated from lifted vehicles causing the driveshaft to operate at a steeper angle.
Typically fixed with angle shims on the rear axle or a carrier bearing drop.

Again though, thats typically from lifted vehicles.

My 2012 has does it on hard acceleration too. I've always just chalked it up to be VSC/TRAC working it out using using the breaks to limit power, but i've never been too sure.
    Subbed.

same problem since 2005, should be hundreds of threads on this. 2 piece driveshaft and carrier bearing is the culprit.
