    get one thats 100-250

My trans runs between 125(not towing) and 210 (max I've seen towing). Mind you I have a big cooler with it's own electric fan.

I see from 185 to 205 depending on traffic in my 5-lugger, I would also like to know whats considered a normal range.

Good to know, first time I saw 205 I got a bit concerned, it drops pretty quickly once I start moving.

How are you measuring that on the '08?

    09'

Aeroforce Interceptor gauge, it gives me feedback from both values mentioned above.

    Awesome.

I was always curious where mine runs. Figured it was in the ballpark of 200 since the only cooling is from the radiator and the engine coolant runs about 200.

Yeah I usually get 185 or under on highway, 195+ in stop and go traffic. Climate here is hot and humid, worst I've gotten is between 205 and 210 on very rare ocations and it don't stay there for long. I've though about getting a cooler, but I'm not sure if I'll be keeping the truck much longer.

when I pulled a 5x8 uhaul trailer 550 miles back in august for the daughter going to college, I used torque (android) and a $15 Bluetooth adapter and got the PID's from a thread on either here or torque's forums.

flat pulling I was getting 165F in 5th OD

    4th (forced) I was getting 185F

5th kicking down it would jump from 165/185 to 210F in about 5-10 seconds until I dropped it into 4th manually.

I used torque specifically to keep an eye on output from the TT pan and converter.

didn't want to spend the money on a scangauge and I could move the Bluetooth adapter between my legacy and Tacoma and soon a new 4runner to replace the legacy.

I will add screenshots of the app in a bit.
