Have a new 2013 Spruce Mica dblcab 4x4 sb TRD. I want to put on a good wax after the claybar treatment. Have been doing alot of reading and Collenite wax seems appealing. Has anybody had experience with this wax.

Yes it's a very good wax... Acts more like a sealant than wax... Easy on and off, just be sure to put it on thin don't think thicker is better... Lol

Used it for years, it's top notch stuff.

Like mentioned above though, don't go too thick or let it sit too long or it'll be a huge PITA to remove. HUGE.

Had not heard of it until now. I usually use Meguiars. I will try this next time.

If it's new, why clay bar it?

when I bought my '12 i needed to clay even though it was fresh off the truck and i picked it up the day after the dealer got it. of course, it was hecho en Mexico and i'm in Seattle so it probably caught some shit en route. of course, i didn't clay and proceeded to wax the hell out of it. then i was wondering about all the bonded contaminants on my truck and i realized i waxed them in.

so, yes, clay bar that shit.

and good choice in color. spruce is super rare and super sweet.

i applied 2 coats collonite 945 spaced a few days apart on my 2012 after i claybared it in early july. i am a fan ,it looks good and is still beading up a bit months later. its pretty duable. i will apply again before it gets too cold out to get me thru the winter.
i was a fan of p21s wax for my audi because of how easy i was to use and i am finding the collonite is just as easy if you apply thin coats and let it dry to a haze before removing.
make sure to mix fully by placing it in warm water for a few min to break it up and shake well.
