I have a quick question, I just installed 5100s on my truck at .85" and I already have maxtrac spindles up front. In the rear I have the icon 3 leaf progressive pack with the overload in. Because I yield over a 1.5" lift in the rear I got the 5125s because eventually I will probably go higher in the rear so I have the ability too because of the long shock. Right now it seems like the shocks are slightly long I measured my truck and I am about 42" from the ground to the top of my rear fender well.

My question is did I get too long of shocks and if I did what can that mean?

measure amount of exposed rod (shock) and the gap between the strike plat and bumpstops initial contact.

    what are the numbers?

u may need to get longer bumpstops, or some adjustable cans.

fwiw, typically when we go for measurements regarding before and after a lift to see how much we gained, or to compare 1 persons lift to anothers in terms of height is to measure from the hub to bottom of fender flare.

otherwise u have to take tire size, and uneven surfaces into account.

as for "what can that mean?"

if ur shocks are too long, u can bottom them out instead of utilizing the bumpstops.

Thats kinda what I was thinking was to get some bigger bump stops
