    Hi all,

I landed an excellent deal locally on some rims for my truck. Upon a test fit, it’s clear that I am going to have back spacing issues. That ridge on the caliper just barely hits the back of the rim…

After a little research, there appears to be a few different options:

Looks like some folks have ground down that ridge on the caliper to allow clearance – I’m not too fond of this option…

I could get wheel spacers like 1.25” Spidertrax guys will run, but I’m not looking for that much of an offset…

While doing the test fit, I experimented with washers and one 1/8” on each lug provided enough clearance to allow the wheel to rotate freely and the caliper to operate. I did a little looking for some 3-5mm spacers and haven’t had much luck other than a few eBay listings.

I’m aware that I might need to replace the wheel studs to compensate for the additional length the spacer adds to get a proper fit and torque with the lug nuts.

Does anyone else have any experience in this area? Like I mentioned, I only need a few millimeters of additional clearance.

    Any advice would be appreciated!

I'd be more concerned with spacers then grinding down the caliper a few mm
