Hey guys. I have an 09 Tacoma rated for 6500lbs.
I am towing a 16' enclosed trailer, with cargo its about 6500 lbs.
Its only towed every couple weeks, and only about 15miles at 30-45mph

I find the ass end sags a lot when shes all loaded up and wondering which option I should get for the truck. I was leaning towards air shocks & weight distrubtion hitch, but can't seem to find a part (air shocks that is) that fits the tacoma. Anyone have any thoughts, suggestions or ideas?

    Thanks.

Sounds like an airbag problem to me. I think they do better than shocks for heavier loads, and they are more durable.

Thanks for the input. I am hesitant of the leaf because wont that permanently bring the ass end of my truck up an inch or two?

It seems like $300 is the going rate for the bags does that sound reasonable for both?

Would you guys suggest the hitch too, or just the bags?

I would just do the air bags if your only going 15 miles.

Firestone ride rites should do the trick. If you are handy the install is not too bad. A wdh with built in sway should be considered. Never know when you might want to go farther than 15 miles. I tow my 25' travel trailer that weighs about 5200 lbs loaded and have a blue ox wdh with built in sway. Love it. I would also consider trailer brakes as well. Good luck!!!

Weight Distribution hitch and trailer brakes. Been cross country many times towing 4000lb-6500lbs with no problems at all.
