Long story short, the radiator on my 1999 3.4L split about 4" long across the front of the top yesterday. Is this a common problem? It split in the plastic part, so that got me thinking that this stuff gets brittle with heat and age, so I'm curious to know if it's common for radiators to crack on Tacomas, and is there an all metal replacement? I'm in S. FL so temps are between the upper 90's to mid 80's most of the year, maybe in the 50's for a few days in winter. It's a daily driver and tows the boat and hauls things on occasion, nothing out of the ordinary. ~165k miles.

Happened on my 98 back when I had it. I used black zip ties and a solder gun to plastic weld the crack shut. Held for almost 2 years
