I own a stock 2007 Toyota Tacoma Access Cab, no modification, nothing.

I do have a problem with tires though, they don't last. There is only 68K on the truck and I am looking at getting a new set of tires for the fourth time. Do the math.

Thank God I am not paying for them, got extended coverage on the Taco, so the dealership dealing with the issue. The first two set were Firestones and were gone before 10K. Gone as in tread gone.

The current tires are Yokohamas, and they don't look like they are going to make it beyond 20K.

    I don't off-road or race, just boring a to b Arizona driving.

    Anyone having this issue ?

What's the dealership saying? Sounds like a crappy alignment.

The dealership doesn't say anything, and alignment is checked every time we do this. Dealership replaced the tires, no question asked, period. Oh yeah, the tire wear looks even. Never had any handling problem, rolls easily enough in neutral, yadayada.

I should add one thing, you can't really call my driving normal, unless you spend your Saturday morning heading toward the beach on the I10 in LA. My driving is a lot of stops and starts, just like the postal driver. Could that be the reason for the high wear rate, the stops and starts ?
