I know my Taco is tuned to 240 hp and the 4Runner/Tundra have a 270 hp tuning. From what I can see, we have the same engine.

Can the 4Runner/Tundra mapping be flashed to the Taco?

Not that I need more power, but more IS better...

    Intake, exhaust, lift. Typical stuff.
Among other physical differences, the 4runner has dual VVTi (intake and exhaust). Its not just a tune.

Like StAndrew said, it is not quite the same engine, more like an updated version. Although I hear in the long run it is a more fragile engine due to the dual VVT-I.

As Justus said, a supercharger is hands down your best bang per buck on these motors! Pretty much an instantaneous 50hp gain at the flywheel and from there it is pretty easy to push it to about 350hp at the rear wheels which is about 150+ extra hp over a one stock Tacoma.
