I have a 2013 Tacoma Pprerunner TRD Sport. I got free oil change service etc. with it for 25,000 miles. Took it in at 10,000 and have driven it about a 1000 since. Well... while cleaning the engine compartment a little, I said, might as well check the oil level. One Quart low! Explains the valves rattling like it had bad gas in it too. Had to check it 5 times to make sure my eyes wernt lying. The truck doesnt use oil so they left it a quart low. Dont ever trust anything when people are involved. Mistakes or like an old boss I had (nickname was "Bear Creek") years ago would say...they just dont give a D@mn. A mule is the same way! Had my other truck serviced a few years back and it was riding very ruff....checked the tire inflation ..65 pounds!...should have been 35 max. If it wasnt free I would be doing it myself. Sure wont be taking it back after the freebies...lol

Getting free oil changes would be nice but when it comes to things like that I like to do they myself hence being 1 quart low on oil. I'd take advantage of the free oil changes but just make sure to check the level yourself before you drive off to far cause if you come right back its not like they can say you drained some of your own oil.

Damn that sucks. I hate hearing people have bad visits with dealer service, or any other service station. Gives us good places a bad name. Glad you caught it!

So after this confusing rant (I think you're mad :notsure:) you admit that you're still going back for more?

Anyway...I thought there was a valve rattling problem but it alwys happened going up hill so the oil was running back and was already low. Doesnt that make sense?

Look at the lowest point on the stick by checking both sides of it. One side sits against the holder tube and will sometimes look like the oil runs up the entire length. Look at both sides. If someone can explain better please chime in.
