Minis seem to have a shit load of electrical problems every time we work on them too strangely.

So much is software controlled, glitches are unavoidable... but they should be ironed out by the 2nd or 3rd year of production, especially when those problems are popping up within 3 months on a new vehicle.

Our work truck has had problems with the wipers not shutting off, headlights not turning on, turn signals not working consistently (tap to activate, tap the same direction to cancel, or it auto-cancels), and one morning, our tech walked out and the doors would not unlock with the remote.
Battery was 100% dead... nothing had been left on. That truck has so many alarms that it would be impossible to leave something on and not know it.

Ya, but '59-'00 were excusable due to the Lucas Electrics.
