Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same reoccurring issues. I have a 12 Dbl cab SR5 4x4 4Ltr and since new I have been dealing with the pulsating brakes over and over. The dealer first adjusted the calipers on front and checked the rear pads. Result....good for a couple days. Next time... They turned the rotors on front...result... Good for a couple days. Third time I had the truck serviced and made the same complaint they replaced the rotors and pads. Good for a week. The pulsating is back. Is this just a case of inferior parts and if so, how do I go about upgrading on their dime while under warrantee?
Note... I do some light two tracking and no towing so far. I don't ride the brakes so heat and warped rotors caused by abuse are out the question. Any thoughts or suggestions by you guys are appreciated.

In the past, I have associated pulsating wih warped rotors......and my guesses have been correct. But I have never experienced this with Toyotas so, there is that.

I should have mentioned in my previous post that the pulsation is slight but an example when first applying the brakes would be the headrest in the pass seat vibrates slightly and of course as the driver I can feel it it the steering wheel and brake pedal. I feel being a new truck u should not have these issues and the truck should be as though I spent $31k on it...which I did. The Camry I traded in didn't have this problem.

I'm on my 3rd Taco, and the last two have done this (can't remember on the first one). It hasn't been bad enough to do anything about, but I've been thinking about swapping in some Brembo rotors to see if that solves the problem.

I switched to Brembo's for all my brake work, and they have solved all my rotor issues.

That is first time I have ever heard that one! The things kids ( dealer service mgr ) say! Cute.

I agree with you. The warped rotor myth lives on!

After installing my new wheels at home myself and using a torque wrench set @ 95 ft/lb.... the brakes are much smoother now. Leads me to believe the dealer was using a impact wrench to do my tire rotations even though the service mgr said they hand torque to specs. I don't know but either way I'm doing my own maintenance from now on.

Ok thanks I'll back em off a bit then. I was just going by what the tech guy told me at Belle Tire and he said 100 ft/lbs and I did 95.
