    Symptoms:

I'm running a new (work) computer with Windows 8 64 bit installed, none of my programs are compatible with 64 bit windows so my diagnosis is to either install windows 8 32 bit or try to dual boot with both of them. The computer only has 4 gigs of ram and I don't need any more than that, I constantly use 3 computers through out the day so this one will be strictly for work and nothing else. I have a valid windows 8 32 bit disk with a genuine product key, I set to boot from the CD rom drive and the computer doesn't recognize the disk, however, when I put the 64 bit windows disk in the drive and set it to boot from CD it works fine. I have tried the 32 bit disk on another computer, and yes it will boot from the CD rom drive so the problem lies within this computer. Maybe CD rom drive related, I'm not sure though. I have went through the command prompt and formatted the hard drive completely but to no avail, I need some recommendations on what to do now. Thank you.

Well, after doing a bit more research I found out that the computer is specifically "locked" to windows 8 64 bit due to the UEFI that came with the computer from Dell. I will have to ship this back and make the company buy me a new one.
