Hey everyone. I looked at this site a few months ago and thought I saw a thread that was stickied on the front page for people who just purchased a new Tacoma. Well, I didn't see one today so I figured I'd introduce myself. Me and the lady went "looking" at a new car for me since we got her a new Rav4 last year. Figured it was time for me to join the Toyota family. My brother has a Tacoma, my father in law has a Tacoma, mother in law has a new Camry, wife's grandma has a new Camry, and the wife's grandpa also has a new Tacoma. I was the odd ball with a Chevy.

We went just to look because I saw a Magnetic Gray double cab that really caught my eye. Went to the dealership to speak with them about it. Turns out the truck was at a sister store of theirs and not on the lot. They called the other dealership to discuss getting it transferred, but someone was currently trying to purchase it right then. Well, we started looking around and saw another 2011 Tacoma double cab. This one was silver though, which is still ok with me, but this one also had the TRD Off Road package as well.

We started talking numbers and trade in and all that good stuff. Shortly afterwards all of the paperwork was signed and done. They washed up the truck for me and filled it up with gas and gave me both sets of keys. I now own a 2011 DC TRD Off Road. Couldn't be happier with it. Thing is, my brother's is pretty much identical to this one.

Thanks guys. This is the first truck I've ever owned. Owned a few cars, but never a truck. Sure parks a whole lot different compared to a little econo car.

Welcome and nice truck! I'm sure it'll look different than your brother's after you start modding based on this forum........

Sweet truck. I settled for the light Grey in stead of the magnetic Grey too.
i like the light Grey because you don't see scratches as easy on it.

Toyota should sponsor your family at this point

Thanks everyone. I have driven my wife's Rav4 in the snow. A lot different than the cars I have driven in the snow. The rear end will def start to slide a little easier. from what I'm used too. My brother's Tacoma has me beat at the moment. He has the matching shell, it came with it, the front bug guard, window guards, and a lot more aggressive looking tires. He hasn't done too much to his yet.

I really liked the magnetic gray for the color, but settled for the silver. I had a silver car through high school and it never showed age. It was an old car, but I washed and waxed a lot. Working at a car wash throughout high school has it perks. Taking care of the silver makes it look brand new all the time.
