should I get a new head unit??

I have a 2013 Tacoma with touchscreen radio and plan on putting a probox enclosure in it should I upgrade the head unit or will it do pretty good stock? I'm not looking for breaking the windows bass just good quality bass...

you should be able to get good bass off a stock HU. i had a JL 12w6v2 powered by a 500/1 off stock HU and it sounded awesome. granted it was a Lexus HU, i don't think the quality of a toyota HU will be worse. either get an amp that accepts speaker level inputs or plan to use a line output converter.

 

I just don't want to much bass or to little. I feel like it might since you can't adjust it on a stock radio

 

get an amplifier that allows you to remote control its output
