[IMG]I did this mod for installing an iPad mini on the stock location and I'm using the under dash unit for playing the iPad on bluetooth.

1.- Buy the under dash kit

2.-Buy the single din stereo of you choice, in my case it was a Alpine CDE-143BT

    3.-Remove the shift knob

Did you have to move anything around inside the dash? I believe I read that you were having issues with what ended up being the airbag module being in the way?

You know the car company, Tesla, has a fullly function iPad lookalike contol feature on some selection of their car. I'm merely inducing the rights to build something better then what they currentlylineup isn't that hard. As you are very savvy with your skills. So, "beat this Tesla" also incline to complement your skill set as well.

    Hope this helps.

What did you use to fill the gap around the head unit? Did that piece come with the kit? Any better pics of the completed lower setup? Looks good from what I can tell

This is exactly what I'm planning to do in my truck. Would really like to see how you mounted the iPad.
