Replaced all the parts in the front end. Shocks, tire rods, ball joints. I got an alignment done but I don't think it feels right. The truck doesn't seem to track straight for very long and seems to pull to the right. Also the steering wheel is slightly off to the left and feels a little more loose then when you turn it right. I know I could use some different control arms to correct that caster and I need to take it in and have the tires rebalanced but I'm not sure if that the problem. Any ideas? Alignment looks ok to me but could an out or balance tire be the cause. The reason I replaced everything was that the tires looked like they were starting to cup and the ball joint were about shot.

Looks too me like the Caster is too strong on the left front. It should be reversed, right side should always be stronger to fight road crown. Caster is the centering of the vehicle going down the road and return to center coming out of a turn.

For shits and giggles you might swap your front tires side to side and check your air pressures to see if that will help but any compitant alignment technician would have done that.

A dead staight on the marks alignment will pull to the right, at least here in Texas, because of road crown thats why I always set my right side caster higher.

I'll have the shop try it again and see if they can get that caster up on the right. I have 881's and that 10mm trim piece up front. I thought about checking my tire pressure in the morning but am also wondering if an out balance tire would be the problem.

do you have any sort of lift installed? other, much smarter, folks on this site than me recommend caster of 2.4 - 3.0* to counteract the "wobbly" and shifty tracking. makes the steering wheel a bit heavier to turn (which is awesome). not sure, what your suspension situation is though...

I have 881's and that 10mm spacer thing up front. I know my caster would be off without control arms but I don't like the way it feels at all. It felt better before replacing the parts

Even if they can't get it to the number, they should be able to get the split between the two sides right by sacrificing one side or the other. If they give you too much greif get your money back and go somewhere else. Most customers think alignments are like a black art and therefore most shops treat customers that way, sadly. They did a good job as far as the sheet is concered and for tire wear but that is only part of their job, how a vehicle drives is just as important.
