Oh, how I envy everyone that is so excited about their first new truck. I've had my dark grey 2013 4x4 SR5 6cyl Access cab for about 4 months now and still think I made a mistake letting go of my 2001 4cyl Access Cab.

Yea it rides smoother and I do like the extra power but it handles like a bathtub. I just changed the oil and realized how much ground clearance I lost. I REALLY regret going to an automatic, that might be a matter of actually taking it out of D around town cause it never stops shifting. You never know when it's going to downshift when lightly braking going downhill, almost tugging the seatbelt when it shifts. REALLY dislike the seat configuration in the back, not just the ridiculous headrests but the seats themselves take up way too much room, all of that should be removable. The plastic bed is just beyond discussion, I already blew out one of the little cubbies with stuff slamming around on that skating rink.

The only reason I let my '01 go was after the frame was replaced it vibrated so bad I knew it was just a matter of time. Until then that truck was flawless for a full 12 years.

This is my 4th new Toyota truck. I started with a 2wd regular cab shortbed, then 2wd access cab, 4wd access cab now I steped up to the 6cyl. Until now every one was an improvement on the previous but this time I can't help but feel this will be my last new Toyota and I probably won't own it long.

Somebody talk me off the ledge, I'm already cruising the web looking at pre-2005 used models.
