I know there are multitudes of oil filter threads all claiming that their filter is superior, however after reading through all these threads I cannot make a final decision on what's best for my engine (5VZ-FE). So which would you guys choose Wix or Toyota OEM? Also list your reason for your choice of filter.

    Whoa - boy.

There is no right answer to your question. The real answer is that they are probably both just as good. If its piece of mind for you, buy a dozen of the OEM filters online and it will cost about as much as the WIX will. That way you have a few years worth of filters at the ready and you dont have to worry about the price difference but you will have the assurance of OEM on your truck.

Personally, I go with OEM just because at 188K miles on my motor, I want to give her the best chance of survival.
