I was rear ended the other week while exiting the interstate. The insurance check came in today, and I realized that for the amount they gave me to replace my TRD Sport bumper I could get a rear plate bumper and lights for my grill

Opinions on a stock front bumper with plate rear bumper are welcome.

Would really appreciate it if anyone else has already done this and would be willing to share pictures.

Haven't done it personally, but in your situation that sounds like a no-brainer. Do it.

I got tapped a while back too. I got a preliminary estimate, but still need to get a full damage report. I plan to either build or buy a plate bumper with the money. Or I may elect to just leave it, and go with a plate front. We'll see what they pay. My drivers side of the bumper is slightly torqued. The plastic up top is popped up slightly and won't re-seat. But, I can see no actual bends anywhere in the bumper it's self. It also broke the housing on the L-plate light on the left, just the screw hole, which is bigger now. Also bent the trailer plug bracket inward slightly. They already told me it would be 411.00 for the bumper shell alone, but didn't bother totaling up the rest.

It happened to me a couple years ago. I have an all pro rear bumper with side guards now. I can try and post up some pictures

What's even funnier is I derped the back bumper about a week or two before, and it didn't even scuff the derp. It was still in perfect condition. I'm wondering if the drivers side outer bracket is just slightly moved and now holding it in a bind. I pulled all the derp off before getting it adjusted so they wouldn't try to give me a cheaper price of black vs chrome. I'm calling them tomorrow to get my final adjustment, so we'll see how that goes. There isn't even so much as a ding in the bumper at all. It just looks moved some, on the drivers side.
