    Hey everyone,

I have read allot allot about TBS's and it seemed like allot of the people saying don't get one didn't actually state they tried one.
So for all those that are some what new like me, I do have one and its great.
I noticed MPG gain and a little more pick up on the go.
For 200$ total cost and install, I am happy with it.
I also have a volant cold air and a magna flow exhaust, so obvs thats helps too.

Hope this helps anyone wondering about getting one.
I also happen to like the sound it makes, people always ask me about it, i tell them its turbo. LOL.

However if your looking for a crazy amount of gain on HP etc.....you will have to spend more money for sure, maybe on a chip or supercharger......

    Anyhow, cheers
    Northern Taco

Sorry Dana, They don't make a chip for our trucks. The CAI and exhaust that you have is most likely not giving you any real benefit other than the noise it makes and the spacer I can't speak on because I have no experience with that.

S/C is the only way to make any real HP gains with our trucks.

I don't buy into the spacers on modern EFI, but they do seem to help on carb'd setups.

As for a "chip", Bully Dog is saying they have "unlocked" the Toyota ECM and are now selling a programmer for later model Tacomas / Tundras

I'm not gonna run out and buy one either, but someone will.

They seem to have a good rep with the diesel guys, so it may be ok (it is quite pricey though).

Yeah they do there. I actually had one on my 2003 and 2005 Cummins when I towed a lot. Just had to make sure you had a EGT gauge so you knew what your exhaust gas temps were.

Bully dog has recently released a programmer, pricey, gains aren't alot.

Spacers wont give you anything, tb spacer that is. A good gain that is plug and play but pricey is purchasing a URD 70MM TB adapter and find a used 70MM TB off of a 2010+ FJ cruiser or 4 runner I would recommend a TRD cai new style with that combo too.

Supercharger will gain you 60-70 HP for 4-5K install included ( new TRD)

I saw that when I was watching "Trucks" on Spike. They said they unlocked it and years of programmining. Also stated if the Big 3 ECM were like piggy banks then the Toyotas ECM was like Fort Kno

White, debadged, Mudflaps removed, ICON 2.5 in front, 2.0 in rear, all 4 corners have reservoirs, Spidertrax wheel spacers all around, BAMF bolt on sliders, Avid lightbar, oem transmission cooler converted to power steering cooler, aftermarket transmission cooler eliminating all oem transmission cooler stuff, remote mounted spin on transmission fluid filter TrueTrac rear differential, rear diff housing vented and filtered into left side bed box, URD MAF calibrator, Volant intake scoop into oem airbox, second filter removed, airbox internals smoothed, blended and polished throttle body, NST intake manifold spacer, Wet Okolee set covers, WeatherTech Digital Fit mats, inexpensive JVC single DIN, Scangage, AVS Stepshield door sill protectors, Doug Thorley Long Tube Headers, URD Y pipe with O2 sims.
I have a spacer that came wih some other items I purchased. The op saying it does have more pickup and mileage increase has been posted by others also that have used them.

My truck has an NST intake spacer installed. There is debate over how effective those work also.

While the intake manifold spacer is a definite change in length to the actual intake runner length, possibly the TBI spacer is working to change the interior dimensions of the intake plenum and the pulse wave inside the plenum.

On paper the Throttle Spacer makes no good reason to buy one. On the Dyno I don't believe they have shown gains. The dyno however is a full throttle pull which should see no gains. Everyday driving is seldom a full throttle pull, so possibly the part throttle performance is better. The NST intake manifold spacer does real well for added drivabiility with minimal if any peak HP increase.
