I have an Avid light bar.. and ONLY want to mount my hi-lift to it.. using the ARB hi-lift tube mounts.. so i know the hi-lift is 70 lbs.. can the light bar withstand that much weight?[IMG]

I wouldn't. I know the Avid bars are a little more stout than the average light bar but I wouldn't throw a hi-lift on it. I'd get the bed mounts instead.

I wouldn't see why not. As long as there is room between the bar and the bumper for the mounts, it should work. And if the lift will fit without being too close to the bumper as well.

If you do it, I'd mount it to the lower bar, not the upper. That light bar is just end mounted down low, so the closer you can get the hi lift mounts to where the bar attaches to the truck, the better. On the top bar, that's a lot of weight that will be shaking around at a good distance from the mount point.

I have an Avid bar. Granted it is for lights, but as mentioned, it is pretty strong but does flex when you give it a good pull by hand.

I would consider the blocking of the headlights a possibility before committing to that location.

i agree i just didn't want to spend the money on them if it wasn't going to work.. I have sat on the bar and used it to climb onto my hood (when cleaning) so i assumed if i could stand on it.. it could handle 70 lbs of hi-lift.. I do like the bottom tube as the mounting possibility .... just wanted everyone's opinion before pulling trigger
