To all concerned i have searched these forms for answers to my questions but can't find anything that suit's what i'm looking for. My questions are can you lift the Baja Tacoma 3-6"? Not looking at keeping the stock suspension or rims and tires if i can lift it without causing any damage to the actual drivetrain. Money for the lift isn't an issue just looking for honest opinions about wether or not lifting this truck is possible seeing as how i can't find anything specific to it. Thanks to all that answer seriously and don't ask me why i want to get rid of the factory stuff you will not get a reply.

The Baja edition can be lifted the same as all other 6 lug Tacomas.

Is there anything specific that needs to be done as far as lifting it or personal recommendations i'm looking at trying to gain more clearance for off-roading i scrape now on some of the ruts that i go through just looking to gain some clearance and get a good look and still maintain at least some what of a decent ride

6'' lift will keep ground clearance at stock height because of the drop bracket

So you bought the Baja edition just to get rid of the suspension? Why would you do that instead of buying a TRD off road and lifting it instead

Toytech came out with a spacer lift for the bajas. If you still want to keep the suspension.

Manual Trans and you apparently can't read what was posted in the OP

Looking at getting rid of the suspension not keeping it so the spacer lift is out been fair warned by numerous people to stay away from those

You can get a manual transmission on the access cab TRD off road or the DCSBDCSB version too...

Yea tried for almost a month to find one then the dealer that had it sold the only one that was available in CA Baja edition was the only other option seeing as how i'm the one making the payments on the truck i had very strict stipulations on what i would buy so this is the truck i ended up with had everything that i was looking for in the first place suspension was just a bonus that i paid for to get the truck i wanted.

3'' will give you more ground clearance as the front suspension components aren't "dropped" to give lift like they are with a drop bracket lift.
You're point of least ground clearance with a 3'' lift will be the LCA and the rear axle.
You can get a lot of ground clearance with a 6'' lift (DB) and a 3'' lift (coils) so you can fit big tires (37's/40's)

But IMO 3'' is the way to go, you get looks, functionality, and ride comfort.

    glad to be a help.
You can fit 33's pretty easy with a 3'' lift, but it takes some trimming/tubbing to fit 35's.
Colin (this guy) is running 35's with ~1-1.5'' (IIRC) of lift
    Here's a thread on 2nd gens running 35's with 3'' of lift
