So I am looking at the tech manuals and it shows that the R155 / R155F (4cyl. 2WD / 4cyl. 4WD) transmissions have an input shaft bearing (pilot bearing) as well as a release bearing. However the RA60 / RA60F (V6 2WD / V6 4WD) only have the release bearing. I have a V6 4wd Tacoma and I bought an ACT 6 puck sprung clutch kit for it and it came with a pilot bearing. So I went to their website to cross reference if this clutch kit fits the 4 cyl. model and it does not. They do not even make a clutch for the 4 cyl. so what the heck is this pilot bearing I have for lol? Let me know if anyone has any insight as to whats going on or as to why the V6 tranny doesn't need a pilot bearing and the 4 cyl. does when the clutch setups look identical?

The RA60 transmission does not even have the "nose" on the input shaft to fit into a pilot bearing. If everything else about that clutch fits up ok, then put the pilot bearing aside, and forget about it.
