This truck is new to me. Very clean, no issues, clean carfax, etc....

I will be pulling a trailer mostly, wanted to get your thoughts on adding a SC on a 3.4 with this type of mileage.

My lift will be a 3" at most, running the stock rims, spacers and 285/75's.

If it has been taken care of and proper maintenance... I say go for it! You should be able to get another 170k out of it! ;)

I'd rather keep that $3K for another engine when so I could keep the truck another 15 years.

The question "should i buy a supercharger?" will get all kinds of answers... More specific to your question about having 178k on the truck, I would not worry about it. if the motor has been maintained with no problems go ahead and boost it, it can still go another 170k if you keep maintaining it.

Dont forget to get the proper fuel mods, or at least a wideband/EGT guage to monitor how your motor responds.. If you do it right it will have very little effect on the lifespan of your engine..
