Fixing a 2004 double cab to SAS it and turn it into a crawler.

Was in front end collision and the airbags were deployed, so the front seat belts were locked up by the airbag system.

Anyone successfully fixed the factory belts? OR Do you know if an older model belt will go in on each side. I do not plan to replace the airbags as the system was gutted already. But, i need belts up front.

May just go harnesses, but they are a PITA around town, and I would rather tie them into a cage if I go that route.

    Any ideas?

Maybe I am off base, but isnt there a charge (a small version of whats in an airbag) that is set off by the SRS system that takes the slack out of the seat belt when the airbags deploy? I use to work at a body shop a few years ago and I think thats what I remember being told. Most of the cars that came in with deployed airbags went to the junk yard, or the owners bought them back. I cant say that I ever saw one get worked on, or replaced?

Look here -> Seat belt Pretensioner

Btw, its amazing how fast you put that truck together. It would have taken the shop I worked at 3 months to do all that....

I was able to take them apart and pull the locking mechanism to get them to release.
