Fender Flare Removal

Today I got the urge to remove my front fender flares. The passenger came off easy with no hassle. Although as I was removing the drivers side I discovered that two of the "tabs" were replaced with hex bolts. Pretty sure this was from the previous owner. Has anyone else had this happen while removing theirs?

 

i popped mine off with ease. I did rip off one of the tabs though on the small bumper flare.

 

But all yours were tabs correct? I bought my tacoma from a nice little old lady that claimed was the first and only owner. Just a little puzzled about two tabs were actually bolts. Unless the dealer did it. I highly doubt the lady would've don't that haha
