    Hi folks,
I just got my Ultimate Lift Kit for my 2006 Tacoma from TRDparts4u.com
    It comes with:
    - ToyTec/Bilstein Adjustable Red coilovers featuring Bilstein 5100 maintenance free shocks, adjustable from 1 to 3" lift.
    - Sway bar relocates.
    - Front Diff drop kit.
    - CS047R Complete OME Dakar springs.
    - Bilstein 5160 Remote reservoir rear shocks.
    - Rear axle degree shims for proper pinion angle alignment
    - (4) New rear Leaf u-bolts

I'll post some pics later today.

Now my problem is that the kit came with no instructions and I don't know how to install the axle shims and the leaf springs. My springs came with both bushings installed, which part goes in front? and about the shim, how it is supposed to be installed?

Please help me, I'm stuck with it.

You won't need the shims unless you have some vibes, it's a hit or miss unfortunately but the shim gtes installed with the small side facing forward and the wedge part facing towards the rear. On the dakars, there is markings on the top side of the leafs.

Thank you, my leafs came with an arrow and a sign painted at one of the ends (the end with the Toyota bushings), one leaf with a + sign and the other with a -.
I think that that end goes to the front of the truck, am I right?

Been a while since I've done my dakars but the plus sign is the driver's side pack, the minus is the passenger. The preinstalled bushings from OME should face the front of the truck (frame mounted), the bushings that needed to be installed in the pack should face the rear (shackle mount).

Great, and about the shim, of course I need to install it first on the leaf and by removing the center bolt, is that right?

There should be a groove in the shim that faces up towards the bed, if the center pin for the dakars protrudes from the bottom, it should lay in the groove but the shim itself lays on top of the axle but below the leaf pack.

Unfortunately I have never installed shims so I'm not sure if the center pin goes through it or not, I don't think it does though since the ubolts will hold it in place.

But the hole in the shim is smaller than the bolts head

One or two things modded... Check out the build thread
You have a choice there, you can either take a drill bit to the hole in the shim to make it to where the center pin head will fit in it or you can clamp your springs together, remove the center pin, then run your center pin through the wedge as well as the leafs and tighten everything back down. either will work.

I was just about to say this, if you don't want to drill in to the shim, buy new center pins from Toytec that will work with the shims, or buy new shims that will work with the dakar center pins.

Whatever you do make sure there is enough of the head of the centre pin exposed to properly seat in the axle

I used a Steel spacer to make the head of the pin longer and bolted it all back together, also i had to drill out the shim to get it to fit cleanly.
My springs came with a + and a 0 the + is rated with more arch the 0 is in the middle and the - is lower arch,
the + on the drivers side will help in the taco lean
