engine stalls on steep hill off road

    Oh yes, yes, yes, I indeed believe that due to my slowing down before the top (I wasn't sure I would make it over the top) the truck might indeed have rolled backwards just a tad, so that might be the explanation for it stalling.
    I appreciate your feedback. I will try going up that hill over the top with no stopping and rolling backwards. I will let you know what happened.

    BFG AT's, Weathertechs, Hoppy's brake controller.
    Actually in 4L there is less strain on the motor......

    I'm interested to see if he ever made it too.. I know for a fact that if you let an automatic roll back in drive it has a very high potental to stall.

    So here is what happened: I went back to climb the hill, but this time with more courage and therefore more "gas" on the paddle and it went up just fine, tried it again later in the "slow" way and it stalled while it rolled back just a little. So i think the conclusion is that if one climbs up a hill just keep going forward no matter what, the minute you question your trucks ability to climb up the hill and start rolling backwards, you are done, stalled.
    Thanks for the questions and participation in helping to solve that issue.
    BTW the stealership had no idea whatsoever!!!
