Hey everyone, I've been having a problem lately with either my clutch, or something internal with the transmission. basically when I'm sitting at a light and I initially push the clutch in and try to shift into 1st gear, I cant get it into gear at all, at least without trying more than once. Also, when that's acting up, most times, shifting from first to second gear is really stiff and clunky. every other gear is no problem shifting. I've had the clutch changed out about 10 to 20,000 kms ago, as well as the clutch and tranny fluid changed so I'm stuck at this point. ill attach a link to a youtube vid showing what I mean but any help at all would really be appreciated! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3pGe70elaro&feature=youtu.be

Sounds like your synchros. When shifting from 1st to 2nd, if you double clutch do you still have the issue?

I'll give it a shot and see. The problem is that when the shifting is acting up, it's really bad but it's still intermittent. And I can't pin it down to temperature change or anything when it acts up, it just happens when it happens. I'll try double clutching though

Hey, if not that is something else to rule out. My friends car used to always grind 3rd unless he either skipped it or double clutched..
