On my stocked 2013 DCSB 4wd truck, it would make a loud clunking sound almost every time I make a sharp right especially over a bump. When the surface is flat, it's no issue. Only when a combination of sharp right with bump in the road. Took it to the dealer this am. They told me that is was normal. The clunk is due to a "protective boot" on the right side. Never happened on any other Toyota I've owned. Anyone else has this issue. Posting from my phone so I couldn't search.

Are you lifted? Might be the sway bar contacting the coil.

Shouldn't be clunking sounds like dealer BS to me, go to another dealer.

The truck is completely stocked with less than 1500 miles on it. The explanation from the dealer makes zero sense to me. Why would they design something that would make that noise as standard. They said that boot is only on the right side but not the left. Sounds very strange to me. Going to take it to another dealer to see what they say.

Yeah, I'd take it to another person to see what they say. Sounds fishy to me.

Is the battery securely fastened down in the battery tray? I had this problem with a 2004 4Runner. Turns out the battery was sliding around in the battery tray and causing the clunk!

Nah, it's not the battery. The sound is underneath the truck towards the passenger side.

I know this shouldn't be the problem, but it may be a pre-maturely defected cv joint. When they go bad they pop and clunk when you turn.
