Is there a source out there to find salvage yards with tacomas? When I was in highschool we would go search for parts we needed at salvage yards. I've tried to google for info but without much luck.

I use this. It won't let you search for entire vehicles, but you can surmise who has one by searching for major assemblies- http://www.car-part.com/

I know you're looking for a yard to search but just like most newer vehicles and other trucks. Most don't hit the junk yards often and don't last long. I have never seen a 2005+ tacoma in a yard.

I work at AAP, we have access to huge salvage yards and just about every part at the click of a button. We get heads, transmissions, differentials and other stuff all the time for people. But then you have to pay retail on a salvage part

Thanks, I guess I thought I could drive to nearby yards and pick and pull. Times and vehicles are changing.

I've seen 2 gen tacos being parted out listed under auto parts on craigs list. Pretty much hit or miss though but I've seen them on there pretty regularly.

No taco's at any local salvage yards around here. not even 1st gens. seems like most people part em out on craigslist, at least in my area.
