Hey guys I took my truck in for an alignment since I was experiencing a slight vibration on the steering wheel. I had my tires road force balance and when I was at the alignment shop the tech told me that I had a problem. He advised me of the rack and pinion bushing kit was bad and worn and I need to replace them. I do have play on the steering wheel. I'm getting it replace on on Monday. Now my question is this could this cause the slight vibration I feel on the steering wheel???

i just replaced my steering rack bushings. Afterwards, I have more vibration in the steering wheel, since the rack now moves less and therefor transfers more vibration through the assembly to the steering wheel.

Are you talking vibration or shaking/jerking?

Yeah, its most 1st gens. Fix isn't all that difficult except taking apart your entire steering wheel/column:
