So I just sold my old chevy (first truck) for a wopping $1400. My dad and I went halves on it so I only have around 700 to spend on some new tires for my taco. I'm looking to get some 265/75/16s on my stock off road wheels, and then level it in a few months when I get the money. I definitely want an all terrain, something that has some good tread but doesn't hurt my bank account. Any preferences?

You could also go the treadwright route.

I have had these for the last 25,000 miles or so, couldn't ask for a better tire honestly. Price was awesome. Enough aggressiveness to get me through soft sand on the beach with ease, quiet road manners, good fuel economy, handle terrific in the wet and competent in the snow. 100% better than the All Terrain T/A they replaced. Not to mention tread is still great after 25K, figure I will get a lot of miles out of these tires.

I am hooked on them and my next set will be the same.

I had the Toyo AT on my truck for several years and liked them enough to put the ATII on the wife's 4runner. They're now guaranteed for 65k (I had about 50k on mine before I sold them with 10/32 left on them), price isn't too bad, my local dealer they were $225 each for 265.70.17 mounted and balanced.

I second these bad boys. Run them on my F150 4x4 and they are awesome. My dad had them on his F250 diesel and ran them for 60k miles. When he replaced them, they still had some thread left on them. Awesome tire

Thanks for all the suggestions guys, I ended up getting the dynapro atm's for 640 installed, 600 after the rebate. I couldn't be any happier with them. I'm still getting 20 mpg in my v6 4x4, they look great, and let out a little hum.
