Engine freshly rebuilt due to blown head gasket, built my own CAI, EGR delete from LCEngineering, Billstein 5125's in the back with GM leafs, I can't stand paying for something that I can make in my garage so I built my own spacers for the front and tweaked them for 3" of lift.
After a few miles of interstate driving with speeds around 60-75 mph, my truck starts sputtering really bad when I stop at a red light. Its a 95 Tacoma 4x4 5spd 2.7. The truck runs fine through out the city in stop and go traffic after this happens. Only happens when at idle.

K.I.S.S. (Keep it simple stupid). What my dad taught me when diagnosing problems with just about anything. Start with the simple things first. Fuel, air, and spark.

    Fuel (check filter and pump)
    Spark plugs, wires
    Air intake (filter, MAF)
Check all your vacuum lines as well.

If its an idle problem maybe check the idle air control valve

This too. I wash't too sure about it having one. I'm not too knowledgable on any models earlier than 2001.

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
Might be sticking fuel injectors. Try some injector cleaner in the fuel tank. If you have a stethoscope, at idle touch each injector and listen for it ticking; no tick = bad or stuck injector.

    Clean the MAF, too.

    Good luck
