Bull Bar with fog lights, Pioneer DVD Stereo, Alpine Type R (front), Kicker 2 way (rear fill), Rockford Fosgate sub, JL Audio 300/4, Kicker 750.1, cheap spacer lift (came with the truck), BF Goodrich tires
I am running 2 amps, 1 4 channel amp and 1 mono amp. The crossover I am using a 2 way crossover (Audio Control 2xs). The Alpine headunit being used only has 1 set of outputs. The 2xs has only 1 set of high outputs and 1 set of low outputs. I am using "Y" splitters since I am using a 4 channel amp for the high output. For Low, there is not a problem, as I am using a single amp to drive the subwoofer. Am I going to lose any signal splitting the L and R channels??

Lastly, the stereo sounds great. My gains are not even set half way. I am using Kicker Coaxials in the rear and Alpine 6 1/2" Type Rs in the front. When the volume is at a certain level, I hear an audible noise, almost like a buzzing noise. This will happen with or without the vehicle running. I am guessing that I should have a better ground? Where did you guys place your ground? I have both of the amps' ground wires going in to a distribution block which then has the ground wire coming out and grounded to the middle seatbelt bolted to the floor. I did sand the area down good and am using Knukonceptz wiring throughout (0 gauge for the power going to a distribution block). From that block, I have 4 gauge going to each amp, followed by 4 gauge ground wire going to another distribution block that is grounded to the area mentioned. RCAs are on the right side of the vehicle. Power wire and even remote wire is on the left and there is no alternator whine whatsoever.

    Any ideas?

Just for the record, I am using an Alpine headunit running to an Audio Control 2xs. From the crossover, I am running a JL Audio 300/4 for the front and rears and a Kicker 750.1 running to a single Rockford Fosgate stage 3 beastly Punch series subwoofer (12").

I'm not sure if you would lose any signal strength using a splitter - I have no experience using splitters so someone else will need to chime in.

For the buzz I would first focus on ground. Personally i drilled a new hole right next to the rear seat mounting bracket and sanded the metal bare. I remember some threads where folks had issues using the seat belt bolts. I would try a different ground location and see what happens.

How high does your volume need to be for an audible noise? Do you pretty much need to max your volume?

You will loose 3dbV using a splitter on signal. It will not change the quality of the audio. Will not be a problem sounds like you have headroom to make up for it.

I do not maximize my volume. If I am listening to it at a moderate level then I hear a buzzing noise. I am going to try and find a new ground or make one by drilling a hole through the chassis. I only need a 2way xover, but may need to get a different one since the Audio Control only has one set of outputs for highs and one for lows. I may do better with one with one more set of outputs.

RESOLVED--Found out why the noise was coming in. First I resanded the ground and placed it back under where the seat belts mounted and the problem persisted. Then I used a CD to further troubleshoot and it was gone. Tuner did not seem to have problems either. When I plug in my iPhone and listen to Pandora it is fine. The noise only came when I was using BTA (blue tooth audio). It would not start until the volume was about halfway (regular listening levels) and higher. It was hard to tell unless I was listening to certain types of music like ambient music. I was using a wide variety of music to tune the system as best as I could. Now it sounds a lot better! BTA is very convenient, but you do suffer some sound quality. I had ordered a ported box which should come in Monday or Tuesday. Right now, the 12" sub is in a sealed enclosure, but I wanted to see what would sound better and return the box that I don't go with.
Thanks for all the input as well. I will post pictures in a different thread sometime this week.

Here is a pic. Looks like crap I know. I wish it was never painted in the first place.
