The 1st gen Tacoma cost nearly as much as Tacomas cost nowadays for the same options. I still have the original sticker from my truck and it was listed for $30,000...

You got a killer price even if it was bone stock and needed new tires. 4x4 Tacomas with under 100,000 miles command a high resale no matter the vintage. Plus you got some killer aftermarket stuff, too. Just enjoy the awesome truck you got at an awesome price.

I don't think you over paid. I would gladly pay that for it have low mileage and a supercharger. Similar tacomas back it 2002 defiantly did not cost 17-19k. I have the originally sticker for my 02 which is a couple hundred off from being 30k. The only think that really matters is whether or not if you are happy with the truck. I would be lol :D

decent price because of the supercharger.

I see you already fell for the skewp back then. :p

The yen was stronger in those days, if I remember correctly, so Japanese cars were expensive. Toyota was doing everything it can to cut content from the vehicles, going as far as making the clock optional (!) on the Tercel.

That's the thing with used vehicles, every one is somewhat unique.

Jealousy is a bad trait to have, don't listen to critics. You did very well. Nice looking truck. Wouldn't change a thing. Everyone on this forum seems to enjoy bashing other people's decisions. I say if they are that worried about YOUR purchase then they can carry the note on it. It's your money and your truck. Good purchase, enjoy
