Anyone know where to get new rubber window trim for 05+ tacomas. It was torn when i got the truck and just haven't found a replacement for it yet. I need passenger side font but if i have to buy both fronts i will. They must be brand NEW though. I'll get a picture of my torn trim tomorrow to post on here.

Any help or advice is appreciated, i just don't want to go to a body shop and have them charge me an a$$load for some rubber trim and install when i can probably do it myself. Thank you (for looking if nothing else)!

I'll have to take a picture of the tear tomorrow. It is the rubber that goes round the outside of the window channel and has a little conecting tab in the bottom left corner of the passenger side window (if you are facing the outside of the door).

Thank you for your help thusfar!

To me it looks like part #2 in the diagram. I have ordered from Toyota of Dallas & have had great experiences with them. If you're not sure which part to order, call them, they will ask for your vin # to help you get the right part.

I also don't understand why they need vin# when i can tell them exactly what my truck is....i just feel like i'm being slapped when they ask for my vin. I know what my truck is.

I'll have to give them a shot. If both of you recomend them, i'll go with them over my nearest dealer that i KNOW will gouge me. Thank you and

I think they use the vin to track parts ordered. It would be an easy way to form a failure database...and issue a fix for a failed part.
