Hello Guy's & Gal's...Just purchased a 2004 Pre-Runner, SR5, TRD V6, Auto, 74,000 miles in Mystic Gold Metallic. Looking to gain valuable info on these trucks such as MPG improvements. I also own a 2006 4Runner Limited.

Welcome! One of the first things I bought for my truck was a AFE pro-dry air filter. I hear various things about it helping/not helping with your mpg, but at least I've never had to buy another filter.

Thanks guy's! So I removed the original fuel filter today...the last few dribbles of gas were indeed dirty so that should help a little in the mpg quest. Pulled a plug and learned they are original and are of the dual electrode type...it was worn a bit so I will buy a new set of wires from Toyota and plugs from Napa and see how she runs afterwards.

I would like to change the trans fluid soon...I have Alldata and they only show 2 quarts of fluid?? Is there a filter/strainer? Can this even be done without a machine to push out the old & add new fluid? I believe my 06 4runner has to be done through this method. Dave
