Transmission Problems

My truck started having this problem where it starts to lag when accelerating. It started happening when I would turn to the right but recently it started happening when I'd hit a bump on the freeway. I'd step on the gas to take a right turn and it'd accelerate for a bit and then stop accelerating, foot would still be on the gas and I could floor it and nothing would happen. I have to remove my foot and then step back on the gas for it to engage acceleration. On the freeway I noticed that my cruise control won't engage either. Even when turning towards the right on the freeway the acceleration would die and I'd have to pull my foot off and accelerate again. I've never had a problem when turning to the left though.
Really don't know what's wrong with my truck and it's starting to piss me off. Not even wanting to drive my truck cause of this.
Any help would be appreciated!

 

Sounds like you have an automatic . is the fluid full ?

 

Yes I do
Fluid is full

 

Sounds like you have an accelerator problem, not the transmission. more than likely an issue with the pedal or throttle position sensor.

 

How do you know the fluid is full? I don't think mine has a dipstick, does the 4cyl auto?

 

Yes the 4 Cylinder Automatic does indeed have a dipstick.
