    Hello Forum,

I am currently running 5100's @ 2.5 with the OEM PreRunner springs & 1/4" Taco Lean spacer. I just placed an order for 884 coils from ToyTec. I want to set the 5100's back to "0" & just add the 884's. According to Toytec this will give my '08 DCSB 4.0 a bit above 2"' of lift after they have settled, & a better ride since the strut & spring won't be preloaded as they are now.

    My question:
Do I still need to run the 1/4" Taco lean spacer on the left front strut or just the 884 coils? I know the coils are not side specific so I wonder if the taco lean spacer is necessary.

Also, for those of you running 884's:

    * How long before they settled?

    * How much lift did you end up with?

    Thanks folks?
    :D

I would recommend you use the 1/4" spacer for the driver side still.

I'd def keep the 1/4" lean spacer installed. The coils are not side specific, just like the eibachs.

As for settling, iirc ARB (ome) coils are scragged before and after shot peening and the newer coils use a somewhat different composition than the older generation coils to resist sagging. So that's 3 steps to resist undue settling.

I just put billie 5100s up front (and rear) with 884x OME springs on my '13 Sport DCLB. Got just a hair over 2" of lift in the front. I got the springs and 1/4" spacer, along with an AAL, from Dan at Wheeler's. The spacer was installed, and I have no lean at all.

So, as others have said, make sure to get the spacer!
