    Some stuff...
Gotta a question and I'll shoot now for those like me wanting to "cut to the chase" (For those who want the background and whole story, that's below) - Can you please snap some pics of the undercarriage of your rigs and post them in your reply? Wanna see how far back the Matt123 skid plate covers, so pix from the cab forward would be great, thanks!

Now for the story. As some of you may know I posted a thread a few weeks back (thread here: http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-tacomas/300284-skid-plate.html) on Skid Plates as the next mod and have all but decided on the Matt123 plate. That purchase will be expedited due to the incident as follows.

So today I was running late to the train and barely made the last train, having to park in the back dirt lot in effin BFE. Tonight when I got back after work I just swung around and instead of coming out the dirt-hole turned to mud-hole path that I came in earlier this morning due to the sudden torrential downpour, rode the grass then down a very small/gradual culvert and up over some concrete parking stop-blocks. Well shortly after the front wheels cleared the stop blocks I heard the dreaded scratching from the undercarriage! :frusty: It wasn't loud or hard by any means, but with only 1,577 miles on my new Yota I immediately stopped, busted out the Mag light and inspected the damage.

Only cosmetic of course, mainly scrapes on the TRD Cat-back where it bends horizontally to make it's way to the headers. But I was wondering if the Matt123 Skid Plate will protect this area, or if I have to drop $800 or so for a full protection system. Not trying to overact, but I do plan on wheelin this rig along with my 96 once she's mended up and if up an over a very small culvert and stop block is an issue, I definitely want to be better protected when I'm out in the wild......

    Thanks, Guys!

Arb front bumper, warn winch, All Pro rear bumper, OME up front, OME and All Pro Standard in Back, ARB locker, 34 x 10.5 KO2's, 17" Level 8 Trackers, and fancy single piece driveshaft.
If you're going to wheel it, think about rerouting the exhaust section that hangs low. A muffler shop can re-arrange it so that it is all above the bottom of the frame. A few inches of relatively easily gained ground clearance, and not too expensive to do.
