Headrest & transfer tank advice

Hi - Just joined - Just acquired my first Tacoma (05 dbl short 4X4) and loving it.
Two requests for advice from the experts:
1 - rear left tan headrest is missing - best place to find a replacement? Toyota quoted $438 best price - YUP $438!!
2 - I need to install a fuel transfer tank in the bed - best place to find a used one ( cheap)? Looking at 75 to 100 gal capacity.

Thx for whatever advice anyone can offer.

Give them a call and read your VIN and they can get you the right one. Looks like $327

Only better price is going to be a junk yard, or if you can find someone gutting their interior for a stereo mod, but that's more common on the access cab.

On the transfer tank, be careful... 100 gallons is 700 lbs.
Add the weight of the tank, and the driver/passenger, and you're over the weight rating of the Tacoma without any tools or anyone in the back seat.

 

Thx Rich. Yes all good advice. I may go smaller w the tank but Ido need volume. I tow a helicopter and this is for off airport operations.

 

Dayum! They're right proud of those headrests.
Could the transfer tank be mounted on the trailer with the helo? (assuming it's trailered). Hope that's not a stupid question, but I had to ask.

 

Are you actually legally allowed to carry anything other than diesel in a transfer ( tidy ) tank ?
