1st Gen Original Owners

So, I searched to see if there was a thread already but came up with nothing. So post up a picture of when you bought it brand new and now...........only if you still own it.

Also how long did you think you would keep it when you bought it and how much longer do you think you will keep it?

I bought it new I March of 2003 in Old Saybrook CT with the hopes of driving it 20 years and although I have come close to getting rid of it twice I just can't do it. This thing going to have to die before I get rid of it.

Bought mine on July 30th 2002 at the tender age of 20 all by myself at the dealership with 62 miles on it and added wheels and tires at about 400 miles so this is the only picture I have of it "stock"

Currently has 95k miles now and what it looks like today:

 

Sorry ,no 2002 pix..a few computers have "Died" and taken pix with them since then .

Original owner and had every intention of keeping my 3 year trade cycle alive with this one also....My '99 had just 31000 on it when traded BUT then job changed and putting 4-6 miles on a day made "trading" after 3 years obsolete...I JUST turned 67000 this month after 11 years..

How could I trade it after all the re-investment TOYOTA has put into it...Oh I have thought hard about it...Almost traded for an FJ Cruiser earlier this year BUT life stepped in again and now this Tacoma will help me rebuild my new retirement home in FLORIDA ....We both will enjoy a retirement of "Sun & fun" in our older years...
