Figured I'd make my first post on the forum...I just ordered a 2014 DC/LB TRD sport and I'm researching exhausts as well. There are other threads on the forum dealing with this exhaust, all sound positive.

It is worthy to note that despite the description on the manufacturers website it comes ready to fit a double cab (crew cab) with the long bed. So if you've got a DC with the short bed you'll need to cut a section of the extension pipe before mounting. Apparently they (MBRP) figured it would be easier to make the longest application straight out of the box and have anyone needing the shorter version to chop before install.

From what I've read it's the opposite of Magnaflow's approach with the off road turned down exhaust (17115), which requires additional length added for those of us with long beds.

does that exhaust come out the back or the side? I was just about to buy the S5338409, which is about the same price but looks much different in the photo. I'd hate to get the wrong one. How does it sound? Would I be a fool to expect a noticeable different in MPG?

    thanks

For my CC/Lb I was told by MBRP's website the part number is S5322409 for the down turn pipe. I'd dumps straight down under the bed right before the axle so it doesn't stick out to one side anywhere.

I think the part you have listed is for a 2016+ that is just like stock it dumps out behind passenger rear tire. But what I was looking at was $100+ more than the turn down exhaust... don't know where you found that price?

Just installed tonight. Love the sound. It's pretty deep! A huge difference from stock! A mild drone on the freeway, but it's not bad at all.

To each his own, I will only ever buy a third gen, specifically a manual, if every 2nd gen auto burns to the ground and I have no other option but to give in.

Ha didn't realize we were under 3gen trucks. Just got here through searching for MBRP.

Think the 4.0 would be a lot louder with these exhausts? I like the style I just don't want the noise.

I've got this MBRP exhaust coming on Tuesday, and I'll install it on Friday 2/24. I'll try to have a little video or at least details the following Saturday about sound, performance, etc...

the sound is great on this cat back. I have had my turn down for about 6 months now. the throtle response is noticeable. but it doesn't really improve mpg or hp. looks good though20170211_164914.jpg
