TSB done on 09 Prerunner

Got it done without too much hassle after printing out the TSB and taking it to the dealer. Took the TSB in, met with the service manager, the parts guy, and a mechanic to discuss it because no one seemed to have heard of it. Parts were ordered and less than a week later it was all installed!

Next on the list is 5100's for the front and continue debating on painting the wheels black...

 

Nice work- go for blacking out the wheels. I've been considering the same thing on my rig and think it will happen in the fall.

 

Where is the TSB that says 2009 model, I only saw one that said 05-08?

 

It doesn't cover 09s...yet. The springs listed in the 05-08 TSB are installed on at least some (if not most) 09 Tacomas. Check your leaf spring part numbers against the TSB and see if they match up. Some dealers are more willing to work with customers on this than others.

 

What does tsb stand for and what exactly is it, and what does it do? Thank you

I jusr checked my truck and the rear leaf springs match up with the TSB with a -G behind them, not sure if it matters. Now my rear shocks have a diff number. it is 048530-04021 which does not list previous or current. Does this TSB apply to me?
